STEPPING UP FOR THE WINTER

Flowers for Dreams has been fighting on behalf of immigrants, migrants, and refugees since our founding. While our local leaders bicker, these families suffer. Over 20,000 migrants are now in Chicago, with an estimated 5,000 or more sleeping outside at police stations, heading into freezing cold temperatures this winter.

Migrant Support Drive

Together with our friends at organizations like Instituto Del Progreso Latino, Centro Romero, and the Pilsen Food Pantry, we're coordinating our own targeted supplies drive to help bridge the gap. Starting with $5,000 from The Flowers for Dreams Foundation, a direct product of our flower sales this Fall, we'll be purchasing the following three warm supplies to prevent freezing, suffering, and worse death for these migrants:

  • Sleeping Bags
  • Thermal Blankets
  • Hand & Feet Warmers

We'd love your help too. Between now and November 30th, please bring any of the above purchased new or very gently used to our Flowers for Dreams Chicago HQ located at:
